Discussion: Meet Joe Black

Meet Joe Black was a fantastic movie!!!! On the plane when Bill said to Susan about love, passion, ubsession and then the lightning striking i believe that although Susan said that is what she felt for Joe was wrong in some ways. Susan was in love with the image of Joe but she was in love with the man she met at the coffee shop that morning. When he returned to her i believe that was when lightning struck again.

No, I believe she fell for both.. That guy in the coffeeshop and death. What she loved about that sweet guy from the shop was that he obviously knew how to treat a woman and seduce her in the nicest way.. (I think guys should watch&learn from that movie).. But with death.. Yeah, she was attracted by him physycally (duuuh :)), but he was (as she told him), "attractive, intelligent, well-spoken in the most seductive way and yet so powerful" ... Women love men/guys like that and personally I'd kill for a guy like that.
And Death.. He loved Susan so much he gave her up and let her live the beautiful thing called life with "what she found in the coffeeshop".

And yessss I love Brad Pitt. =)

I simply like the movie... and the girl's appearence... she's so delicate and looks so naif...
Then, Pitt is handsome as ever... especially in the pool:)

Hehe cheezypunk lol, I like your post :) Nice to see you agree with me there. Wouldn't this world be a lovely place with guys like Brad Pitt walkin' on this world's surface, eh? ;)

I thought the whole concept of this film was very interesting.

It raises a lot of questions as to what supernatural forces affect our lives, and how we can trust our feelings (such as in the case of Susan who unwittingly fell in 'love' with death). I also loved the way it dealt with the philosophical issues of love and death with such an emotional and poetic approach.
