This is a wonderful movie. It stars Robert Downey Jr., who I feel is highly under-rated and well... being an obsessive-complusive James Spader fan, I'm taking upon myself to make sure all his movies are listed here for discussion!

James Spader is seductive in "The Secretary"

Less than Zero is a pretty good movie, but I liked the book better. The novel is much darker than the film. It's one of the few books that actually shocked me.

I hear the movie is really nothing like the book.... but, isn't that always the way?! I definately would like to read the novel. Robert Downey Jr. was tear-jerking as Julian... kinda have to wonder if he was really acting, though!

but of course the novels are always better. but why do we watch movies then

I don't remember who it was, but somebody once said that good books make for bad movies, while bad books make for good movies.

I enjoy both :)

Where would we be without books and movies? If I had to make a choice, I would choose books, but I would hate to give up movies.
