| Discussion: Joan Of Arc i want to know the name of the actress who portrayed Joan of Arc, by Duguay, Christian, which was released by 08/2002 >>By kathy i want to know the cultural backgrounds of the film director of Joan of Arc, by Duguay, Christian which was released by 08/2002 >>By gina The actress' name is LeeLee Sobiesky, and can also be seen in the movie "The Glass House" as well as many others. >>By Lana I really feel that LeeLee Sobiesky is a better cast than Milla Jovovich. though Milla is an attractive model, I feel that she is not suitable to be casted in the role of Joan of Arc - this is just my personal opinion. As I have studied the history of Joan who should be the most admired heroine of all time, I expect the person who has to play the role of her, to possess a gentle, youthful, innocent look plus a graceful disposition as I can see in Leelee Sobiesky & Mira Sorvono (the virgin warrior : joan of arc in 2000). The real Joan of Arc was documented in history, as a beautiful, simple and lovable character. She was gentle, compassionate, winning and affectionate. she was known to love her home, friends and her village life. Thus, when I saw Messenger, I was disappointed & rather furious as the way her character was being portrayed (not to include the initial part of the show where she saw visions). The movie cover of Messenger just exaggerated Joan's facial expression !!!!!!!!!!! well hope you guys would still remembered Joan as the most admirable heroine of all times, despite the misguided representation of the true history in Messenger. Clearly, Besson knows nothing abt Joan's history. In the movie, she seems to act like some insane lady that hurts the admirers of Joan. >>By jessie Well at least mr.
