| Discussion: I Heart Huckabees Sweet! I'm the first. I loved I heart huckabees. My friend and I are now existential detectives, but we aren't searching for the meaning in someones life, but rather if there is a purpose in life in general. The characters did not seem fully formed and the central character was so annoying I had no sympathy for him. But obviously some people saw it very differently. I wonder why i didn't find it funny, clever, or engaging? >>By soubriquet Havn't actually seen this but want to ...and why? All because of the scene when they're at the table and the girl says "Jesus is never mad as long as we live with him in our hearts" and Mark says "I hate to break it to you, but he is! He most definitely IS!" The first time I saw that commercial I laughed my ass off! "there was a drought, there was no harvest, no olives, no soul of life, no rabbit in the oven, we crushed locusts and made bread" >>By sars It's a brilliant film, although when albert first goes in the bag why does one of the faces say to him, "We're going to fucking destroy you Garry." it kinda freaked me out a bit..as there is no one in the film called garry..or was i hearing it wrong >>By garry6610 I adored this film. There's just so much about it that I love, and then some that I've forgotten by now (I know, it's newer. My memory is getting pretty shabby.). To name a few good things about it: the actors were fantastic, the characters I loved (Tommy was my personal favourite), the music was amazing (Jon Brion, you are incredible!), the concept, Dustin Hoffman is a genious, the photography. It was all just so great. >>By xfadetobrightx for anyone who thinks i heart huckabees is a crap movie i think you just need to watch it a few times to fully grasp it and to fully appreciate it. i have it on dvd, its just so so funny, the script is hilarious and if anyone has the dvd with deleted scenes you have to watch the one of jason schwartsman and jude law in the forest doing the break dancing.
