| Discussion: Glengarry Glen Ross The Simpson's "Gil" the worst salesman ever was based partly on Shelley "the machine" Levene's character. I can see it but do i detect a hint of "Willy Loman"? This movie is pretty nerve grating right off the start. It doesn't let up anywhere. While watching this, part of me wanted to go out and close a sale, the other part wrote up a contract making me promise I'd never get into it.
