Such sadness, such emotion, a beautiful movie visually too. Cardboard cutouts having real emotions. Julianne Moore was so good.

Yeah it is brilliant! I simply love the light and camera in this moive... it does enchant you! The leafs for example....their intensive colours. Julianne Moore and Dennis Quaid are magnificient- the film is a great hommage to Douglas Sirk's All That Heaven Allows. A beautiful masterpiece.

I just saw this again, I cried all over again. Sorrow piled upon sorrow, so cliched, so inevitably funny, yet so tragic. Can cardboard feel?
