Family Guy

This movie is so funny, but it's so retarded! What are all of your favourite parts? When peter is ranting about Lindsay Lohan is so funny!!

Brian: Stewie you're drunk!
Stewie: You're sexy!

Holy Crip it's a Crapple !!!

haha
season four was kind of a let down really......... not as good as the first three.... & then I looked on the back - Seth McFarlane had only written one of them - perhaps one of the best in the season - the first one about the passion of the christ 2
ahhh man that trailor was so good :):)

yeah.... anyone else feel the same???
I mean it was funny & all... just not as good as the rest............

well season four was kinda okay but season five, especially after the episode of "chick cancer", has been total disappointment for me. yet feel obligated to watch anyway.
"Hey Brian, there's a message in my Alphabits! It says Oooo!
"Peter, those are Cheerios."

i am dogmatically refusing to watch family guy season five........... why does everything have to be popularized ???

>>By Tchock   (Wednesday, 21 Feb 2007 17:33)

It was never that funny. It has maybe ten jokes that are just repeated in different ways. Stewie and Brian are the only funny characters.

no way! Family Guy started a genre of humor that dozens of other shows have tried to emulate. It will go down in history with the Simpsons and South Park as truly great adult oriented cartoons.

>>By Slurm   (Tuesday, 6 Mar 2007 05:23)

No, it copied its humour straight off The Simpsons. As far as I'm concerned it's heresy to class the two shows next to one another.

>>By Flagg   (Sunday, 11 Mar 2007 13:14)

That's ridiculous. Family GUy bases it's humor in pop culture referrence and flash back jokes. The Simpsons dabbles in pop culture refferences but do a lot of shows. Though Family Guy came along after they have equal roles in the adult oriented cartoon revolution. In fact as of late it's been more the Family guy because they were pulled off the air teice for pushing teh envelope.

>>By Slurm   (Tuesday, 13 Mar 2007 22:02)

Yes... SO many pop culture references... SO many flashback jokes.

I meant that it's a cartoon about a fat, stupid guy who's a failure. It's just not as funny though. The jokes have nothing to do with the story of the episode, and half the characters are still one-dimensional after however many seasons there have been.

>>By Flagg   (Saturday, 17 Mar 2007 00:46)

All tv sit coms are about fat stupid guys who are failures. It's because that's what America is filled with. Our country is run by fat stupid guys.

Like Friends?

>>By Flagg   (Tuesday, 27 Mar 2007 18:22)

No, like Married with Children, Home Improvement, According to Jim, Cheers, Everybody Loves Raymond, the King of Queens, the Drew Carey Show, etc.

>>By Slurm   (Tuesday, 27 Mar 2007 20:07)

Family Guy is still nowhere near as good as The Simpsons. I can't understand why some people can't see that.

>>By Flagg   (Wednesday, 28 Mar 2007 12:38)

Yes, you've made that clear... is that all?

>>By Slurm   (Friday, 30 Mar 2007 00:04)

Just checking. It's hard to tell sometimes.

I was watching it just now actually. Ok, it is funny. But there are too many jokes like where Peter says or does something that he thinks is funny and no one else does, and then he laughs for about a minute and no one else is laughing. That's the joke. I'm one of the people not laughing.

>>By Flagg   (Friday, 30 Mar 2007 00:46)

Every show has it's un funny parts. That joke may have been a running gag in the particular episode you were watching. I watched a couple of episodes last night and that didn't happen.

>>By Slurm   (Monday, 2 Apr 2007 19:51)

Well, jokes like that anyway. There was one where the episode ended with his son saying 'Hey dad... your name's Peter' and him saying 'Yeah' and them both laughing. I guess the joke was that they're stupid and easily amused. (Like their viewers?) ;)

>>By Flagg   (Monday, 2 Apr 2007 22:45)

subtle...Actually the joke is that "Peter" is a common euphemism for penis. It's okay to be loyal to the Simpsons because they were here first but the Family has done more to push the envelope and be censored and in my opinion they are equally funny. So really if you're keeping score the Family GUy is a more important show. Does that make them better? You decide.

>>By Slurm   (Wednesday, 4 Apr 2007 19:09)

Oh ok, it's not common in England.

Well, in MY opinion The Simpsons is funnier, and that's why it's a better show. Pushing the envelope has nothing to do with it. Besides, South Park's humour is far more controversial than Family Guy's and how long has South Park been going?

>>By Flagg   (Monday, 16 Apr 2007 22:27)

Yeah, but South park is on cable and Family Guy is on a Network. THey're 2 different worlds. The content of a show on comedy central can be far more lude than a show on Fox. This is because a show on Comedy Central is not likely to approach Fox's ratings. Also, South Park is not on during prime time, it's on at 10:00.

>>By Slurm   (Tuesday, 17 Apr 2007 01:07)

Family guy is not a movie :))

>>By Celestia   (Wednesday, 18 Apr 2007 19:39)

good point. But, the Stewie Griffin Story was. Doesn't that count for something?

>>By Slurm   (Monday, 23 Apr 2007 19:26)
