Anyone else pick this one up? It was just released by Criterion Collection earlier this month in the US...not sure if it's been available before elsewhere, but this is the first time it's been available on DVD here.

Very interesting, set in post-war 1945 Germany, with kind of a noir feel to it. Lots of interesting use of rear projection to achieve....for lack of a better way to describe it....a "Sin City" look. This was, of course, before Sin City was ever published.

Curious to know what others' thoughts are who have seen this film before, or like me just saw it for the first time.

Also definately recommend watching it with a projector....I think some of the effect would be lost on a smaller screen, even on a big screen TV.

Correction....I guess technically, this was released the same year as Sin City. Though my point remains, as this film was not at all inspired by it.
