| Discussion: Empire Records "Empire Records" is a dandy movie; I just saw it for the first time (1/2/03). I am dying to know who played the opening song (not on sound track album), which only lasts a few bars, starts with a crisp (what sounds like) twelve-string guitar lick, then "Mao-Mao" for a while, then a line ending in "...never gonna be that way again." If no one can tell me who is playing that song...then I suppose I'll just have to jump off a bridge. Someone, please save me from this awful fate. The Dirt Clods DO have a song on the movie, but the opening "mao mao" one is not it.
