Amazing film. Kubrick is today still the master.

One of my all-time favourite movies. I watch every time it comes on TV.

There are so many good lines. I like that war room line too. Kubrick was a genius, but so was Peter Sellers.

The battle scenes in front of the Peace is Our Profession sign look almost real. It reminds of old Vietnam-era TV reports. I'm just barely old enough to remember when Vietnam was on the news every night. Kind of like Iraq now, come to think of it. Only in black and white.

I like that crazy base commander. Purity of Essence. "I still love women Mandrake, but I deny them my essence." Hilarious.

Failsafe is another great Cold War movie, but not funny at all.

george c. scott.................

"boy, i wish we had one of those 'doomsday' machines"

"i smell a big commie rat mr. president !"

& slim pickens.................

"woooooooooooohaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!"

& Dr. Strangelove

"mein furher......I CAN WALK !!!"

Yes. George C. Scott has some great lines too. I like the way his face lights up when Dr. Strangelove starts talking about repopulating the earth after a nuclear war. The way Scott chomps on the chewing gun is good too.

It's one of those classic films you can watch over and over.
