I heard after this one. Day of the dead is being made. I hope it isn't garbage like the original. Who was the cheesehead who wrote that anyway. What a let down.

Wow I saw this movie in the theater the other day. Talk about a FLOP. I was expecting it to be somewhat of a 28 Days Later type of movie, and it was to the extent of zombie people running around, but there was no plot or storyline. Do we know WHY these people are zombies? Yeah, at one point some guy was on the television saying that hell was full, but who the hell was that guy, and why should we believe him? Some type of background or reasoning for all of it would have helped. Maybe they were just trying to make a classic horror film, but it had the potential to be better than it was.

hooly crap that was the best zombie movie they have thought of. i give all my points in credit possible. yeah they better make more. even though we all know they never gave a plot to how they became zombies they will in the other one, they always do even if it isnt in the first movie. i think they should of had more killing and grrr im glad they didnt get the dog cuz id be angry. and that girl was so stupid to go for the dog, id say screw the dog id save my life. all i can say is im afraid of zombies even before the movie was made, i dont like the thought of that kinda dead walkin around trying to kill me. anywho i liked it alot and id pay to see the second one which i know they haveta make another one

haha...the movie rocked...it wasnt scary at all, but i found soem parts really cool and some parts kinda funny..but yeah, best of all is end, after the name list and all, when they come to that "safe" island... hehe ... but yeah.... cool movie!

The new Dawn of the dead is the best re make of a horror i've ever seen. I found it even better than the original because instead of the zombies dragging along they moved at high speeds making them even more menacing. The effects were brilliant and i've got to say the acting was more than up to scratch which is extremely surprising in the current horror movie climate.
I also liked the realism of the movie, how most of the charachters found it too hard to kill their loved ones, and it was realistic showing how easy it is for people to turn on eachother when threatened or at the same time do stupid things to protect the ones they love. (The stupid Girl running after the dog!, i mean i love dogs and all ,but COME ON!)
But overall the movie was excellent and kept me engrossed from start to finish, i can't wait to buy the DVD.

Watched the remake last night.
Not a bad film at all. Very different to the original, but still good. I would have liked it to have gone on longer. And it could have been a bit more subtle at times, i.e suggesting characters' deaths without showing them.

The Dawn of the dead is brillliant but what now everybody on that Island was infected Already so they have no where to go. If they do make Day of the dead then it is only right for them to start filming from that exact point on the island for a better feel of the movie as if it has just continued. But allow the world gettin a virus like dat boy id just............................ u know wot i dont know wot id do

The remake suck, it will never compare to the orginal George A. Romero version, and I hope these jackass don't remake Day of the Dead and butcher another classic horror film.

Day of the Dead and "classic" don't go well together for me. Probably because Day of the Dead was one of the worst films I've ever seen.

um is it just me or wasnt the zombies supposed to be THE LIVING DEAD because there was no more room left in hell. So why in the hell were they portrayed as PEOPLE WITH A VIRUS?

god, that movie was just brutal, really!!!! totally brutal!
i watched it yesterday night, and when i went to sleep, i had this terrible dream that my father has turned into a zombie, and tried to eat me...aw....it was really terrifying!
