| Discussion: Citizen Kane what was the declaration of principals >>By mez Last night I watched CK for the second or third time. I was struck by how this movie is a reflection of the vast number of "collectors" in this world. Many people who surround themselves with collections just as Kane surrounded himself with collections. We build walls around ourselves just as Kane did. When was the last time you talked to your neighbor? Our lives start out with great goals but all to often we fail to grasp the coveted golden ring. When we look back at our lives as we near the end of the road of life it is memories of our childhood that often offer comfort. Citizen Kane will make you think about your own life.
