isn't it funny, the movie nominated for best picture with the most publicity always wins! great movie not worthy of best picture, GO THE PIANIST!

i love most musicals and this one was no exception! they did a great job transfering the play in to a movie by having the singing scenes as thoughts. the songs and characters are great. it deserved the numerous oscars that it won!

I just hate musicals!!! I had to be dragged to the chair and shoved down to watch it and then BAM!!!!! In no time at all I could not take my eyes off the TV....this movies was eye and ear candy...everyone was a great character and all looked fabulous.....I had to shove that baby back in the DVD player several times before I could let it go back......I now own my own copy....my only regret...that I didn't see it on the big screen...my mind is not so narrow about musicals after...Chicago...all that jazz1

This was one of the best musicals I have evre seen and it would come a close seconed with moulan rouge first of course being the sound of music!

Whoa......this movie is the BEST movie I have seen all my life. Seriously, no other movie has caused such a surge of energy and excitement in me! The music, the colors, the razzle dazzle! It's eye candy! And the beautiful voice of Catherine zeta Jones and the others.......wow. The dancing is awesome...and the movie also manages to include greed, treachery, murder.......all the things we hold dear! hahaha! Excellent musical, better than Moulin Rouge by far!

Dunno if it should have won Oscars since it's not exactly original though.

Taking a winning stage format to the silver screen takes technical skill but does it require much creativity?

I liked the Cellophane song. I got a bored with the other songs. I imagine musicals are something you need to watch over and over. Just like it takes me (quite) a few listens to a normal song on the radio or a new CD to get used to and fully appreciate.

i must admit chicago is a great musical. I especially loved 'the cell block tango". But don't go bagging Moulin Rouge, it was a kick ass of a movie (u can tell i'm from Australia can't u?!)

lol moulin rouge was okay, but chicago was a lot better. i love the cell block tango, did a dance to it and all that jazz in a school caberet!

i love that movie! the first song all that jazz is a great hit and i love Roxie Hart the song anhd i think they chose extremely good actors for the parts! they really lived in the songs and scenes. it is one of my all time faves! congratulations on a great movie and i wish that i could meet anyone from the cast coz they are just great and i LOVE them! i just LOVE them.
