One of my favourite films. By the second time I watched it I felt like I knew all the characters as well as I know my friends. Somehow.
I love this film.

speaking of battle royal im assuming everybody has seent he second one. Does anyone disagree that the second one was nowhere near as good as this one. Somehow they lost the eliment it had in the first one...

Also a friend of mine said something about this in relation to the final destination films... i think he said something along the lines of the final destination films were similar in the random deaths department and that final destination was like a modern day rip off type thing of the battle royal films...
Of course the story line isnt the same.

dunno. battle royale is pretty modern day.

i haven't seen the second one, i'm not sure i really want to since a) i don't trust sequels, especially not sequels to really good films, and b) i've heard from three people now that it's nowhere near as good.

>>By Flagg

no im not a fan of sequels either... they spoil the original most of them dont match the original storyline and have many flaw that make the film suck and theyre just an excuse to milk a good film for everything really.

the second one was ok but compared to the first one it was just plain boring.

>>By spookygoth

i borrowed it from someone about six months ago and i think i've still got it. i'm really not inclined to watch it.

precisely. the worst example of sequels ruining things was the matrix, but i've moaned enough about that on the matrix board.

>>By Flagg

ye the matrix really did get ruined by sequels. I just hate it when film makers drag things out by making the main character practically invincible... it spoils it.
Blade was another prize example..
the story didnt match up for alot of it... for a start whistler (spelling is crummy its 2 early for me) fucking died in the first one yet in the second one hes there as if it had never happened..

prequels are just as bad... they spoil all the twists and anwswer most of the questions that were present in the original.. and it sucks its like assuming the audience is thick and stating the obvious. Film makers and directors really dont think before doing these things.. take the new batman film and the starwars films they re rediculous.. how you can have such brilliant technology in a prequel i will never know... to go from bullet proof suits and extremly high tech weapons to what the original film was is obscene
